A few days ago a Ron Paul supporter I know asked me if we were going to fly the Ron Paul blimp at the GOP convention in Tampa, FL this August.
We know how the media covers these events, just think back to how they covered 2011′s CPAC event for a good example. If the media can help it we already know they will do their best to find a small group of Romney supporters and put all the cameras on them, leaving the throngs of Ron Paul supporters and their signs out of frame. But could they ignore the Ron Paul blimp? And could they ignore an army of 20’ mini Ron Paul blimps flying outside and (maybe) INSIDE of the convention hall? I don’t think so. These things are just too big to miss, that of course being the point.
I imagine the blimp flying at the convention and all of the major news networks broadcasting it across the nation, millions upon millions of Americans will see it. I also imagine that this time one side of the blimp might read, “End the Fed”. There are many possibilities. A smaller blimp rented for just a week would also be much less expensive. We can make these decisions together as the project progresses.
